Wound 3D Geometrical Feature Estimation Using Poisson Reconstruction

With the aging population of developed countries, diseases affluence become common. One consequences their complications are chronic wounds that affect more and people. Because healing is a lengthy process, its monitoring should be as simple possible, yet providing accurate reliable documentation. In this article, we present an image acquisition system wound surface reconstruction method using several imaging modalities: color photography, thermal imaging, depth perception. The proposed dedicated mainly to located on limbs where body curvature large, influence 2D results cannot neglected. Our approach minimizes extra effort taken by medical staff prepare outline it still performed photo then mapped into 3D space. was validated 29 data sets containing two point clouds from devices (depth camera stereo camera) well photos maps. compared with expert delineations other contemporary methods for presented in literature. Performed experiments obtained show statistically concordant 3D.
